One-to-one bespoke training and coaching 

We offer customised one-to-one vocal coaching for teachers. Typically, we would suggest an observation and coaching cycle to ensure the most rigorous support, for example taking the following format:

  • Initial needs assessment: Phone call with the headteacher, tutor or mentor to establish the training need for the proposed teacher and agree targets and template for support.

  • Pre-training meeting: 30-minute pre-training meeting with the teacher to discuss their vocal concerns and how these are impacting upon their teaching. Agree a proposed focus for observation and template for coaching support.

  • Lesson visit: Vocal coach to observe part or whole lesson; this will usually be a lesson where the teacher is struggling most with their voice.

  • Vocal coaching session: Follow-up coaching session where we will reflect with the teacher on their use of voice in the lesson and work through a range of vocal strategies to address key areas. 

  • Follow up call or visit: Follow up meeting with the teacher two weeks later to assess the impact of the intervention and set additional actions where appropriate.

All teachers undertaking one-to-one vocal coaching will receive a personalised action plan, along with a set of supplementary resources covering vocal exercises, tips for maintaining good vocal hygiene and recommended literature.
